Prospector's Retreat Lodge
The Prospectors’ Retreat Lodge is located in the picturesque valley of the Chyorniy rivulet, on the spurs of the Primorskiy ridge not far from Listvyanka. Small log cabins are situated in the forest 200 m from the shore of Lake Baikal.
The Lodge has:
- 4 twin cabins
- 1 4-berth cabin
- dining-hall
- Russian banya (steam-bath)
- equipped picnic site
wooden toilets (without modern amenities)
It is also an ideal place for corporate trips, seminars or any other events..
In summer, the Lodge can accommodate groups of 12 people. We invite you to have an easy hike up the rivulet to see the ancient gold mines and prospecting pits, where you can even have a chance to prospect for gold. You are also offered horseback, trekking or boat trips.
You may get to the Prospectors’ Retreat Lodge either on foot from Listvyanka (day trekking of 16 km), or go by “Voskhod” hydrofoil to Bolshiye Koty village and then have a 2,5-km walk backwards. In winter or spring time the best way to get here is a snowmobile or a dog-sled.
